Tyler Boyd—
Golf Coach
A Glenwood Springs native, Tyler started playing golf around age five before moving to Texas and joining the Professional Golf Management program at Sam Houston State University. During his time in Texas, he worked at Bluejack National, Riverbend Country Club, and Lakeside Country Club, building more than four years of teaching experience with everyone from first-time junior golfers to competitive high school players and experienced adults.
Tyler also pursued competitive golf, playing FairWay Golf Tour events and dozens of South Texas Section events, including Texas Team and the South Texas Championship. Today, he plays to a +1 handicap and continues to compete locally at Ironbridge as well as in US Open qualifying. His own competitive experience has shaped the way he teaches the game: golf is as much mental as it is physical, and great players are built through confidence, decision-making, short-game skill, and learning how to compete—not just by hitting drivers farther.
At USA, Tyler’s goal is to introduce every student to a game they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. Some may want to compete at a high level, while others may simply discover a new hobby they love. Either way, his goal is to give young athletes the opportunity to learn the game early, develop real skills, and find their own relationship with golf.
PLAYERS ACROSS THE WORLD
USA attracts driven golfers from across the United States who are committed to taking their game to the next level. Student-athletes train in our high-altitude environment, benefit from AI-driven performance development, and immerse themselves in a culture built around discipline, accountability, and measurable growth. This national reach creates a competitive training environment where golfers challenge one another daily while refining every aspect of their game, preparing for success at the junior, high school, collegiate, and beyond.
COMPETE WITH THE BEST
Golfers at USA come from a wide range of junior, high school, tournament, and collegiate development programs, all unified under our core standard: Commit. Execute. Achieve. Every athlete is held to a high standard by fully investing in academics, athletic development, and character. On the course, in the classroom, and within the community, USA golfers are expected to show up prepared, compete with confidence, and represent the academy with integrity, sportsmanship, and respect. Through disciplined training, mental performance development, and a commitment to continuous improvement, they build the skills and mindset needed to succeed at the collegiate level and beyond.
