USA Skills development
USA Skills Development provides supplemental hockey training for youth players throughout Colorado.
Our skills programs are open to players from all hockey organizations and associations. Players do not need to play for Colorado Extreme—or any particular hockey organization—to participate in USA Skills.
USA training is focused on individual player development rather than team-specific practices or systems. Sessions may include skating and edge work, puck skills, shooting, passing, hockey IQ, compete drills, small-area games and position-specific development.
Players train in development groups based on factors such as age, ability and session objectives. USA Skills participants may represent multiple hockey associations and teams.
Participation is voluntary and supplemental to each player’s regular-season team program. USA Skills enrollment does not provide or guarantee a roster position with Colorado Extreme or any other hockey organization.
PLAYERS ACROSS THE WORLD

Players come to train in our high-altitude environment, benefit from AI-driven performance development, and immerse themselves in a culture built around discipline, accountability, and measurable growth. This national reach creates a competitive training atmosphere where athletes push one another daily and prepare for the next level of junior, prep, and collegiate hockey.
COMPETE WITH THE BEST
Athletes at USA represent a wide range of youth, prep, junior, and advancement-focused programs, all unified under our core standard: Commit. Execute. Achieve. Every player is held to a high level of responsibility by fully investing in academics, athletics, and character. On the ice, in the classroom, and within the community, USA athletes are trained to show up prepared, compete with purpose, and represent the academy with pride, sportsmanship, and respect.
